Aluminium blocks sawn to measure

Danish company W. Olsen processes aluminium blocks for various moulds. To minimise waste and the need for machining, the company needs customized blocks sawn to measure.

With customized blocks that are sawn to measure and ready for use, W. Olsen reduces the amount of surplus material – and consequently the cost.

- There is simply less material to pay for. And you have less capital tied up in your inventory, because you use Alumeco as buffer stock, says Casper Sørensen, Alumeco, and continues:

- As a bonus, you do not need to invest in saws, ventilation and QHSE, because we handle these processes for you.

- Generally speaking, the thicker the plates, the more unmanageable for the customer, says Casper Sørensen and continues:

- However, we can handle and process plates from 1 to 200 mm in Denmark and up to 1000 mm in Germany.

We also saw rings and rounds from 8-200 mm thickness and up to 1500 mm in diameter.

Alumeco stocks a wide range of thick plates and blocks delivered from Denmark or Germany, for example cast 5083, which is very suitable for machining of large items.
